Practice Area: General Practice - Transactional & Litigation, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for their Springfield, MO office. The Associate Attorney will assist in the areas of corporate law, transaction law, and litigation. Responsibilities include taking depositions, conducting discovery, performing legal research, drafting legal documents, arguing motions at trial court level, attending hearings and conferences with judges, and remaining current with developments in the law. Duties:Assist in corporate law, transaction law, and litigation mattersTake depositions of Plaintiffs/Claimants, witnesses, experts, and other partiesConduct discoveryPerform legal researchDraft pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documentsArgue motions at trial court levelAttend hearings and conferences with judgesRemain current with developments in the law Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law schoolLicensed in Missouri or have sat for the Missouri Bar0-5 years of legal experienceStrong written and oral advocacy skillsExceptional research abilitiesAnalytical and logical reasoning aptitudesSuperior interpersonal skillsClient development skillsExcellent negotiation skillsExcellent organizational skills Benefits Offered:Competitive compensation based on experienceMedical insurance planDental insurance planVision insurance planContribution to life insurance plan401k profit sharingParking reimbursementSocial, charity, and wellness events
