The Aging Services Department of Weber Human Services (WHS) is located in Ogden, Utah. WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan County governments to serve as a local authority for provision of their substance abuse, mental health and senior (Aging) services. We provide opportunities and support for the senior citizens of Weber and Morgan Counties to increase their quality of life and extend their independence. Our programs are delivered with sensitivity to the frail elderly and those who have the greatest social and economic needs. Weber Human Services creates hope and opportunities that enable all clients and staff to: do the work necessary to become their best self and find joy through people, place and purpose. We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual who loves to teach ceramics for 6 hours a week at the Washington Terrace Senior Center. You get to plan and instruct your classes and will oversee inventory and purchase of supplies. You will also be responsible for maintaining program records to include attendance, expenses, revenues and volunteer hours. You will need to know how to how to maintain proper care of the kiln and other equipment and attend to proper storage of supplies. The hours are Wednesday's 9am-12 pm and Friday's 10am-1pm.
