CAMBA’s School-Based Early Support Program is a collaborative initiative with ACS designed to empower families and promote children's well-being within the school environment. This program offers a range of services and supports directly accessible to families through partnerships with local schools. Position: School Liaison Reports To: Program Director Location: 955 Flatbush Ave 4 th Floor Brooklyn NY 11226/ Hybrid Remote What The School Liaison Does: Lead outreach efforts to schools and collaborate with existing CAMBA youth development programs. Proactively identify families who would benefit from preventive services. Offer a flexible and culturally sensitive menu of support options designed to address family needs and prevent child welfare system involvement. Facilitate the Triple P parenting program and develop other engaging school-based offerings (workshops, cultural events, youth events). Provide ongoing support and mentorship to the Community Pathway Worker. Collaborate with the Community Pathway Worker to understand families' goals, values, beliefs, and cultural background. Guide the Community Pathway Worker to develop and deliver support plans that empower families to keep their children safe and healthy in a way that aligns with their unique needs. Facilitate access to resources and services within the community to strengthen families and promote well-being, ensuring the Community Pathway Worker effectively connects families with the support they need. As the EBP Lead, you'll also lead evidence-based parenting groups using the Triple P model, empowering parents with positive techniques to manage challenging behaviors and build strong relationships with their children. Review case records with the Community Pathway Worker to ensure adherence to funder requirements and best practices in family support services. Facilitate regular supervision sessions to discuss casework, professional development, and program implementation. Ensure the Community Pathway Worker maintains accurate and complete documentation as required by OCFS, ACS, and funders Conduct outreach activities (school events, information sessions, communication materials) to build relationships with diverse families across all 3 partner schools. Collaborate with school staff to Identify at-risk families and educate school staff about the program. Develop and deliver a minimum of 4 engaging school-based programs (workshops, cultural events, youth events) focused on parenting skills, financial literacy, social-emotional learning, and celebrating diversity. Minimum Education/Experience Required: A Masters Degree (MA), Masters of Science (MS), or Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment. Other Requirements: Minimum of two years of experience working with families and children in a community setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey respect, compassion, and empathy to clients. Exceptional writing skills for clear, concise, and professional documentation, reports, and communication with various stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of relevant databases and case management systems (a plus). Commitment to cultural competency and anti-oppressive practice. Strong understanding of student support services, including IEPs, 504 plans, and SEL programs. Compensation : $63,000- $66,000 annually When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
