JOB SUMMARY The EHS intern will work in our EHS department as well as working with other departments to achieve desired EHS goals. He/she will have the opportunity to learn production, machining and engineering skills via hands-on training and work. The EHS intern is a hands-on position with interaction within all levels of the organization. The EHS intern will be hands-on position and be given projects with deliverables. DUTIES INCLUDE: Review and improve Environmental Health and Safety programs and training modules. Assist with industrial hygiene monitoring, ergonomics evaluations, and lockout tagout (LOTO) evaluations. Assist with updates to the confined space inventory. Assist with accident investigation and follow-up. Assist with wastewater sampling and hazardous waste inspections/shipments. Develop monthly safety topics. Present topic at EHS committee meeting QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to manage multiple projects Good communications and presentation skills Understanding of basis ergonomics and JSA process Understanding of basic EPA, and OSHA regulations EDUCATION Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, or similar field. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
