Introduction: This position will be responsible for buying various line items including but limited to janitorial/sanitary, foodservice disposables, dry food, frozen food and refrigerated food items. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain inventory levels at a 99.7% fill rate Maintain sufficient inventory levels to maximize turns and minimize backorders Maintain inventory and vendor files in AS400, including product information, pricing and freight costs Maintain E3 Inventory Management System Setup new vendors in and items in both AS400 and E3 systems Verify Purchase Order confirmations for pricing, quantity and dates Maintain Allergen book Maintain SDS book Review and purchase products for concept promotions Work with vendors to expedite orders and return product Cross trained on all lines and duties within the Procurement Department Other duties as assigned Experience and Qualifications: High School Diploma with 2-5 years of experience required Must be able to learn and use computer programs and be able to teach these skills to others Must be self-directed but able to work within prescribed parameters. Must be well organized and have good analytical skills Must be able to work well with others as required Speak effectively with all employees and associates Work effectively in a team environment. Ability to apply common sense understanding in a variety of situations. Must be able to react calmly and effectively in stressful situations to achieve company goals Physical Requirements: Move around office and warehouse facility as needed. Sit, bend, and reach with a casual dexterity for document processing and communications. Occasional warehouse environment with noise, dust, odors and diversity from very warm to very cold temperatures.
