Currently, we import, manufacture, and distribute over 7,000 Japanese foods, beverages, restaurant equipment and supplies.Benefits--All paid Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance for employees and their dependentsLife Insurance and 401k Plan with company matchLocation: El Monte, CAHours: M-F: 7AM - 4PM; 30 minutes lunch; OT may applyEssential Job Functions----Picks and assembles customer orders as indicated on the pick listCompletes door to door deliveries by driving company truck on assigned routeMaintains and safely navigates the Company vehicleDocuments, records, and completes driver log when making deliveriesReceives product deliveries and unloads delivery trucks in a timely mannerInspects received products for damage and volume accuracy and documents accordinglyAccurately stocks inventory in the assigned warehouse location and rotates product inventory to maintain a First-IN, First-OUT (FIFO) food storage systemPartakes in warehouse upkeep and ensures the stockroom is clean and organizedCoordinates with manager and salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customersMaintains high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent serviceAttends semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekendProvides logistics support for Company events and functions outside of normal working hoursPerforms other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements----Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hoursAble to work without sitting for extended periods of time, including standing and walkingAble to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequentlyAble to handle and move 50+ pounds assisted frequentlyWorking ConditionsNoise Level: Loud while indoorsOther Requirements----Conversational level English required; Business level English preferredHas and maintains a valid driver's license and a clean driving recordAble to work weekends, holidays, and afterhours as neededMaintains a positive attitudeWorks efficiently independently and in a teamAdapts to frequent changes in assignments and workloadHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 1 year of general warehousing experience required2+ years of driving/delivery experience preferredKnowledge and Skills----Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detailPossesses basic mathematical knowledge such as counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions, combining, etc.Has strong communications and interpersonal skillsDemonstrates awareness of proper warehouse safety proceduresForklift training and/or certification preferredKnowledge of Japanese foods and liquors preferredDisclaimersThis position description is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities, or requirements.
