The Master of Management & Professional Accounting Program has the following Sessional Lecturer position available for the Fall term and invites applications from suitably qualified candidates who are not current University of Toronto students. Posting date: Aug 8 2023 Closing date: Aug 11 2023 Course title: Management Control, MGT 2260H (2 modules – 2 sections) Class schedule: First Section – Any day of the week – time to be determined. Second Section – Same day as first section – time to be determined. Dates of appointment: September to December 2023 Description of course: Management students must understand the relationship between management accounting and current analytical, behavioral and environmental technologies when analyzing and designing management planning and control systems. Planning, budgeting, reporting, and control processes are discussed as they may arise in a variety of organizational settings, such as manufacturing, service, not-for-profit and the international sector. Prerequisite: 1222. Position description: All normal duties related to the design, administration, and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; supervision of teaching assistants; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and examinations; calculation and submission of grades to university officials; holding regular student office hours and maintaining reasonable availability for student contact. Minimum qualifications: Preferred qualifications are either Ph D in relevant discipline (completed) or for non-University of Toronto graduate students, in progress, or relevant qualifications, professional designation or professional experience. .
