The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for the internal communication strategy and internal communication program to ensure that all HSPPR employees are aware of organizational initiatives and programs, important projects, key dates and milestones and organization-wide messaging. The Manager will utilize all available modes of communication to disseminate internal information and will help drive and support change management through internal communication efforts. Works closely with both Human Resources and Communications teams to ensure continuity of content, messaging and branding. Key Duties and Responsibilities Develop communications plans, working with key stakeholders to define timely messaging and distribute in a manner most effective for employees. Ensure effective internal communication programs that meet business needs by monitoring and managing internal company messaging campaigns. Track and confirm connection to employees (by 'open' rate, participation, etc) Facilitate events and celebrations among multiple locations Manage company intranet, including creating the engagement and content strategy based on feedback, data analytics, and business needs. Serve on and communicate action plans and updates from the Social Squad, Safety Committee and other internal groups that advance the employee experience. Support change management programs to promote cultural objectives and improve employee engagement. Disseminate employee involvement opportunities and social events. Create messaging, define best communication methods and develop communication plans for event / program promotion Create standardized presentations for All-Staff, Strategic Planning Committee and other meetings Partner with Public Relations for content to produce weekly employee newsletter Rework and revise completed projects as necessary based on feedback Help enforce HSPPR brand standard guidelines Other: · Commitment to the mission, values, goals and success of HSPPR. · Appropriately documents observed animal behaviors utilizing objective language as required in relevant procedures and/or policies. · Perform all other duties as assigned. Supervisory Duties None Schedule Requirements Schedule may include weekend and evening work. Education/Experience Necessary High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience Advanced coursework/College degree in publishing, communications, marketing, or related coursework highly preferred 7+ years of related experience (publishing, communications, marketing) Solid understanding and support of socially conscious animal sheltering Strong project management and organizational skills Dynamic interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and support cross-functional initiatives Able to build rapport and cultivate relationship at every level of the organization Able to work independently as well as collaboratively on project teams Able to flex work schedule to manage demanding due dates and changing priorities Upon review of completed work, receives constructive feedback in a positive manner and revises work as appropriate Able to recognize and consider cultural implications and promote DEI Intermediate / advanced illustration and design skills with Adobe Creative Suite Proficient in MS Suite of products Technically savvy and able to quickly learn new technology platforms and software programs The core values of the staff unite us and guide us to provide the best service to the animals in our care, our organization, and our community.
