The Role The Business Security Analyst will play an important role in understanding security products and developing technical requirements for these products across the enterprises Cloud and Application Security toolsets. The role will be highly focused on cross department collaboration including: Product teams, Solution, Architecture, Engineering and Senior Management. With a focus on requirements that aim to keep the bank safe using Cloud and Application security best practices and business controls. Is this role right for you? You will foster a customer focused culture to deepen relationships across various domains including Product, Solution, Architecture, Engineering and Operations. Work closely with Product and Operations teams to ensure requirements are documented and accommodated within toolsets while ensuring that processes adhere to regulations and internally set out policies, and processes. Elicit and document requirements from key stakeholders across IS&C and partner business lines. Understand internal processes to Cloud and Application Security with aim to ensure processes are streamlined and automated where possible. Assist in the delivery of projects to remediate IT Risk, Internal Audit and Regulatory (including OSFI) associated with Cloud Security Services. Perform day to day activities and decisions with consideration to the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
