Broadley's is seeking an entry level Mechanical HVAC Engineer. Broadley's Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning has been family owned and operated since 1911, and continues the tradition of providing excellent HVAC and Plumbing services to our communities in southern New Jersey. Position Summary The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and handle all project responsibilities with guidance from the Commercial Energy Manager. General organizer, planner, scheduler, problem solver, decision maker, and overall leader for project, including the managing activities of jobsite workforce while ensuring jobsite safety and controlling resources necessary to effectively meet the project / contract schedule for commercial HVAC projects. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 (Salary Based on Experience) per year plus benefits package. Company automobile provided to be used during normal work hours. Work Hours: 8:00am - 5pm Monday through Friday. Some after hours and weekends may be required. Preferred Experience: · HVAC & Project Management Experience A Plus Qualifications: · Basic knowledge of HVAC system design and installation. · Working knowledge of project management processes, technology, and safety principles. · Strong communications skills and demonstrated project experience. · Strong decision-making, problem solving, resource allocation and planning skills/experience. · Demonstrated attention to detail. · Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and ideas in a non-technical, simple manner. · Basic knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook · Clean DMV Report and the ability to be insured. Specific Duties - include the following and other duties may be assigned: · Develop and manage overall job activities, including schedule, safety, manpower, equipment, and material. · Assist in establishment and maintenance of project budgets. · Work to develop knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the design of systems. · Coordinate drawing sets to ensure information is correct. · Assist in site surveys as requested. · Making equipment selections. · Preparation of project specifications. · Assisting with preparation of project proposals, contracts, reports, and specifications. · Coordinate job-site requirements with foremen and other personnel. · Placing of orders to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials per budget. · Track materials to ensure schedules are maintained. · Manage foremen and other job site employees to ensure efficient and safe operations. · Develop and maintain relationships with owners, general contractors, vendors, suppliers, internal employees, and other trades on site. · Communicate accurately and concisely with internal and external personnel. · Evaluate company requirements for areas of responsibilities and make recommendations, as needed. · Enforce company policies and procedures and recommend improvements. · Permit preparation and closeout with municipal code officials. · Complete required paperwork accurately and timely (time cards, daily reports, detailed accounting of activities, follow-up documentation, billings, HR paperwork, evaluations, etc.).
