Salary: PM I - $80,496 - $107,224 PM II -$100,984 - $134,576 PM III - $126,672 - $168,896 Job Title: Project Manager I/II/III (Depends on Experience) Department: Engineering Last Updated: 12/31/20 Reports To (Job Title): System Improvement Manager Classifications: Non-Bargaining Unit Status: Exempt This position has direct reports: No CORE employees are required to work in a safe manner in accordance with regulatory standards and requirements. Position Summary: Responsible to the System Improvement Manager for the project management, engineering and coordination of activities related to transmission, substation and distribution projects. Works in conjunction with the consulting engineer, CORE's Engineering and Operations Departments, and contractors to schedule, inspect and oversee projects. In addition, reviews proposed contracts and construction documents, prepares as-built construction documents, and reviews contractor billings. Represents CORE's interests in all aspects of work and ensures compliance with the latest contract standards and specifications. Experience/Education: PM I : Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or five years of practical equivalent PM experience required. Willing to consider experience in substitute for degree. Requires valid Colorado driver's license with satisfactory driving record within CORE's standards. Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Projects, PowerPoint and with general office equipment. PM II : Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or ten years of practical equivalent PM experience required. Willing to consider experience in substitute for degree. Five or more years in role of PM I desired. A Colorado Professional Engineer's license or PMP Certification is preferred. Requires valid Colorado driver's license with satisfactory driving record within Association standards. Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Projects, PowerPoint and with general office equipment. PM III: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or fifteen years of practical equivalent PM experience required. Willing to consider experience in substitute for degree. Ten or more years in role of PM II desired. A Colorado Professional Engineer's license or PMP Certification is required. Requires valid Colorado driver's license with satisfactory driving record within CORE's standards. Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Projects, PowerPoint and with general office equipment. Duties/Tasks for PM I: (Duties extended for PM I and PM II) Responsible for managing engineering and construction activities for substations, transmission lines, distribution lines, and other facility relocation and SI projects. Practices cost control, monitors expenditures, reviews task orders, approves invoices and change orders, and provides monthly budget amendments for assigned projects. Ensures projects are closed in accordance with procedures in place with GIS, Finance, Purchasing and Operations. Prepares and oversees contracts and manages schedules with independent contractors, consultants, surveyors, tree trimmers, reclamation firms, and other vendors. Prepares bid documents, participates in pre-bid meetings, evaluate proposals and provide award recommendations for various engineering and construction contracts. Participates with developing, maintaining and updating department procedures, project design criteria and RFP documents. Required Skills: Integrity: exhibits a high degree of integrity and honesty.
