Lead Jellies and Live Food Aquarist We are seeking a dynamic and experienced LEAD JELLIES AND LIVE FOOD AQUARIST to join the Wonders of Wildlife team! This individual will work under the supervision of the Curatorial team and will ensure and promote effective and efficient care of the department's animal collection. This position will lead a jellies specific team who will maintain and culture a wide diversity of jellies to display across multiple exhibits including one of the largest jelly exhibits in North America. Wonders of Wildlife is currently building a brand-new state of the art live food and jelly culture lab to support these endeavors. In addition, this individual will ensure and promote effective and efficient care of the department's animal collection. About Wonders of Wildlife Johnny Morris' Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium is the largest, most-immersive fish and wildlife attraction in the world. The facility consists of a 1.5-million-gallon Aquarium Adventure showcasing 35,000 live fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds, and immersive Wildlife Galleries sharing the story of America's most significant conservationists throughout history and today. Created by noted conservationist and Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris, the 350,000-square-foot experience celebrates people who hunt, fish, and act as stewards of the land and water. Located next to Bass Pro Shops National Headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, the campus is a centerpiece of America's Conservation Capital in Missouri's Ozark Mountains. For more information, visit www.wondersofwildlife.org .A day in the life of a Lead Jellies and Live Food AquaristLead Jellies and Live Food Aquarist demonstrate strong leadership skills, and extensive experience and knowledge while being focused on the day-to-day management of the team and assigned exhibits. P ractices good judgment in decision-making as related to animal care, emergencies, and projects particularly in the absence of Curatorial Staff. They organize daily and weekly operations of the team's projects and goals, including creating and maintenance of their areas standard operating procedures. P articipates in Vet Rounds weekly and Animal Welfare Meetings quarterly, follows up on welfare concerns in a timely fashion. Aids in creating Action Plans for welfare concerns and ensures plan is followed with the team. Ensures daily tasks are completed by the team including TRACKS entry and chores, first step in approval of diets, enrichment, husbandry changes and work order requests.
